Engineering For Development

“At its heart engineering is about using science to find creative practical solutions. It’s a noble profession.” – Queen Elizabeth II

One of the greatest challenges that engineers will face in the next decades is to ensure that their honorable profession is continued into future generations.

Therefore, a new branch of engineering can be expected to emerge, it is what we can call engineering for development also known as « humanitarian engineering », it aims to enhance the quality of life, to help eliminate global poverty and to help humans preserve their humanity in a world increasingly paced by machines.

Moreover, Technology has been a game-changer over the years considering that developing technological approaches will prevent hostile acts and will evaluate the negative impacts on the environment. Furthermore, this field of research is a combination of science with entrepreneurship, design, and business. So in this age of global competition and the spirit of entrepreneurship, we, as « Engineers of the New Millennium », we need to create a new vision and strategy to make our contribution to the engineering industry unique.

So we have to provide innovation and inventions that shape our society to achieve long-term environmental, social and economic sustainability.
